Pro Business Writers

“Strategic content marketing for growing businesses”

Detailed. Diligent. Relevant.

What we do and why we do it

There are a lot of content marketing agencies pitching their magic these days, so what makes us different?

First, it’s our absolute devotion to excellent writing.

Second: we don’t believe in “marketing speak” or any other form of old-fashioned copywriting that manipulates the customer. It’s just not necessary anymore. Your target customer wants information, transparency and superior content that enlightens, empowers and educates.

At Pro Business Writers we can unpack highly technical information and break it down into writing that that’s compelling, engaging and easy to read.

We enjoy every last detail of the process of writing and storytelling. We are tenacious researchers and interviewers, and we make sure the content we create is meaty and relevant. We pack it with critical information, insights, invaluable takeaways — the very things your target audience craves.

Why do we hyper-focus on the quality of the writing? Because great writing that involves fact-based research and deep sourcing builds trust and authority with your ideal customers. Because great writing goes light years beyond a superficial sales approach.

One other thing that sets us apart: experience. Mike and Linda have both written professionally for over 25 years.

Who We Are

Linda Bryant is a veteran writer with over 25 years of experience in communications and business writing. Her specialty is writing about the wheels of commerce and entrepreneurship. She is passionate about writing about business and industry.

“As a longtime business reporter I’ve learned that every business has a story to tell. Some businesses have extraordinary stories to tell, but their owners, managers and employees are often too busy or too close to their companies to get messages out effectively. That’s where I come in.”

Michael Hurwicz was a pioneering technical journalist, writing one of the first books about local area networks, Networking with the IBM Network & Cluster, in 1987. Numerous articles for the trade press followed, with a particular focus on security (e.g. this piece in Network World on Managing LAN Security from December, 1987). Other books and articles covered Macromedia/Adobe motion graphics and web development software. He was the principal of the MTI Group from 1987 to 2002. From 2002 through 2016, he worked full time as an in-house technical writer for a successful financial services firm.

Who we serve

We have expertise in writing for — and about — technology, networking and computer security companies, national franchises, the financial services industry, healthcare companies, startups, entrepreneurs and social enterprises. We also have experience in working with, interviewing and spreading the word about thought leaders and C-suite executives.

Contact

Projects differ widely in scope. We prefer talking with clients about their needs and expectations first, and then coming up with a project fee rather than charging by the hour or word.

Let’s talk to see if we are a good match for your project. No pressure! If we’re not right for your project, we might know someone who is.
